Italian court rejects ban on crucifix

In response to a recent court ruling requiring that crucifixes be removed from public schools in Italy, LifeSiteNews reports that "Italy’s Constitutional Court has issued a ruling asserting the supremacy of Italian law and custom over the orders of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR)." They note that the court ruling banning crucifixes "lacks legitimacy" because it conflicts with provisions of the Italian Constitution. The ECHR ruling sparked outrage in Italy and elsewhere.
