According to CRS, there has been a "tremendous response" to the appeal for aid for Haiti in the wake of the devastating earthquake, both internationally and from the United States. In addition to financial assistance, CRS Chairman Archbishop Timothy Dolan asks persons to "Please keep in your prayers the people of Haiti and those who are working so hard to bring them aid and comfort"
